Established in 2002, the institute was started for uplifting the status of technical education in the remote area of Dist. Kapurthala. The college has excellent Infrastructure which includes well equipped labs, a good library and a well maintained computer center. The infrastructure facilities available in this institution are among the best in the sector. Each department is net-worked, and provided with Internet facility through BSNL leased line. The Internet facility is made available to the staff and the students free of cost.

The Library has a rich collection of all kinds of text books and reference books related to various subjects of studies of the engineering as well as applied science courses being run at the institute. A number of important scientific and technical journals are being subscribed to."

The College has a fully air conditioned, well equipped computer laboratory having multiple terminals with latest configurations. The computer laboratory is also equipped with latest software, laser printers & E-training modules. With Wi –Fi campus the students have access to internet facility both in the institute & hostels for getting updated information regularly.

The college provides excellent facilities for practically all major outdoor and indoor games and has a full-time Sports Officer with adequate supporting staff to assist in games and sports activities, apart from members of teaching staff deputed as Professors-In-Charge of various major games and sports.
